This isn't my favorite sketch that I've ever done, but it was an interesting experiment with a slightly more realistic drawing style. I'm too impatient to color it properly though...
I realized my blog has been called "pig-nosed bat monsters" for over a year without any drawings of the aforementioned creatures. So, here they are ready for their grand debut:
I used the draw these guys all the time on my notes in high school. They weren't as cute then, and they had more teeth, but their hearts were in the same place

I finished this quite some time ago. It was a collaboration between myself and my boyfriend (he worked a lot on the lighting/shading and the textures of the background). It was an experiment in coloring styles and although I'm not completely happy with the final outcome, I learned a lot from the process. I still like the story though.
Just an update with some artwork I did for a proposed children's book illustration job. I'm not sure if I got the position, but I was very happy with the drawings that I produced for the project. Here are some character sketches and a scene mock-up that I created:
